Edarabia: Education Directory & Guide for the MENA Region
A full WordPress build for a UAE-based education directory connecting students, parents, and educators across the Middle East with schools, universities, tutors, courses, and education-sector jobs.
Overview:
Edarabia is a UAE-based education guide serving students, parents, and educators across the Middle East and North Africa. Rather than a simple listings site, it needed to function as a full education hub, directory listings for universities, schools, and nurseries across multiple countries, a job marketplace for the education sector, a tutor finder spanning 12+ subjects, course discovery, and an editorial section with articles, expert interviews, and video content. We built the platform from the ground up on WordPress to handle that scale of structured content and daily traffic.
What we built:
- A custom WordPress platform built from scratch, organized around searchable directories rather than static pages
- Structured listings for universities, schools, and nurseries, filterable by country and education type
- A tutor-finder system covering 12+ subject areas
- An education-sector job marketplace connecting institutions with educators
- An editorial hub for articles, expert interviews, and video content (including science experiments), supporting a newsletter with 70,000+ subscribers
- Popular-search shortcuts on the homepage for schools, universities, courses, and jobs
Suggested custom field values:
- Client: Edarabia (UAE)
- Timeline: 3–4 months
- Services: Design, Development & Build
